Day 1: Departure
Leave the plains behind and escape into the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. Get picked up from Delhi early in the morning (to avoid traffic) and drive through Kullu Valley, past Pandoh Dam and various Maggi pit stops to reach Manali by the evening, in about 14 hours. A combination of natural splendor and rich cultural heritage, Manali is set in the heart of the Himalayas. Prepare to be spellbound as you arrive at your castle in Manali! That’s right, built in Victorian Gothic Revival style and perched at an elevation of 2003 metres, The Himalayan is a castle set amidst apple and cherry orchards, overlooking resplendent snowcapped mountains and waterfalls plunging down rock faces. Check-in and spend some time at leisure. Catch a glimpse of the life in Manali by taking a walk down Mall road. Later, return to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 2: Adventure Beggins
Begin your day with a half-day sightseeing tour of Manali. Pay your respects at the famous Hidimba Temple and take a walk through the Tibetan Monastery. Visit Vashisht Kund known for its therapeutic hot springs that are piped and cemented for a public bath. As the tour ends, head back to the hotel and prepare for a breathtaking evening ahead. In the evening, make your way to Larisa Resort for one of the most romantic evenings of your life. Nestled away in the glow of fairy lights and lanterns, your dinner table awaits you in a secluded spot in the orchards. A meal cooked to perfection, under a sky full of stars with a bottle of champagne and the winds playing their symphony. After the exciting dinner, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3: Historical Tour
Start this beautiful day with a walk around the hotel and learn from locals about the Kathkuni style architecture that is unique to the North Western Himalayas. A grid of interlocking horizontal Cedar beams is created within which either raw or dressed stone is embedded. In the absence of vertical members, this design provides elasticity against earthquakes. On this day, you will head out to explore Solang Valley where you can also opt for adventure sports like para gliding, zorbing, and skiing on a direct payment basis. Please note that all activities are subject to weather conditions. Later return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. Note: All adventure sports at Solang Valley and Snow Suits at Snow point are on a direct payment basis. If you would like to visit Rohtang Pass, then you be taken to the local taxi stand from where you can book a local taxi on a direct payment basis. Please note, the government has restricted the number of vehicles entering Rohtang on a daily basis. The visit to Rohtang will be upon direct payment booked locally at Manali, based on the availability of Permit and weather conditions.
Day 4: Return
After a relaxing retreat in the lap of the Himalayan valleys and deodar forests, check out of the hotel and hop onto the private car, for an approximately 14 hours journey back to Delhi.
